Sustainability, environment and climate
- together we make a difference

Cooperation with leading suppliers

At our facilities, we use products from Ecolab and Nor-Tekstil, two leading suppliers of sustainable products and services to the hotel industry.

Ecolab offers innovative solutions for cleaning and hygiene that reduce water consumption, energy consumption and waste.

Nor-Tekstil supplies high-quality textiles, treated with wood svanemerkede laundries. Minimal water consumption and where detergents are used which should have the least possible impact on the environment.

Saving water and energy

In our accommodation, we have installed energy-saving showers in all rooms to reduce water consumption. This saves both water and energy, and contributes to a more sustainable operation.

To minimize the use of water and detergents, we only clean the apartments on departure. If you wish to have towels and bed linen changed more often, or if you need the apartment cleaned during your stay, please contact our  service-office.

Employees of ByLofoten AS use electric cars. This reduces emissions of greenhouse gases, saves energy and contributes to a better local environment.

Let´s do it togehter!

We want our guests to participate in our ongoing work and commitment to increased sustainability. For example, you can contribute by:

  • Take shorter showers.
  • Hang towels to dry instead of sending them to wash.
  • Turn off the lights when you leave the room.
  • Deposit plastic bottles and cans in deposit machines in grocery stores. This is sent for recycling.
  • Use public transport when traveling in Lofoten.
